Yeah, but it seems like she was the one who was most overlooked. Pretty much every guy had a crush on Michelle Phillips and not Cass Elliot. I think that's what attracted me to her. Unfortunately, she died way too early...before I was born, I think. Now, I know what you're probably thinking..."how did you (meaning me) have a crush on her if she died before you (me) were born?" Not in person. I had a crush when I saw old clips of her on TV and then, the internet later on. Maybe I should take a time machine (if it ever existed) and go back to when she was alive.
I know exactly what you mean about having a crush on Mama Cass. I had a crush on Ricky Nelson for a long time but his popularity was over long before my time. He was big in the 50s and 60s but I had my crush in the 80s. The day he died was the worst day of my life up until that time.
I have so many favorites that I have a hard time narrowing it down. My first choice is Creeque Alley, followed by California Dreamin. Monday Monday, I Saw her Again Last Night.
P.S., unlike most males, I had a big crush on Mama Cass Elliot.
Hard to find a Bad song they did.
I remember them very well, along with Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, and a whole bunch of others.
They R from my Generation, after my return Stateside.
