BEST FAST FOOD BURGERS?

I remember Burger Chef here in Albuquerque. They were pretty yummy.

I haven't had a Big Chef since leaving Ohio in 1980. They were very good.

The last one I remember was in Medina. Ohio but closed many years ago!

Ours was in Cambridge, Ohio, East of downtown. And very close to Burger Chef was the A&W Rootbeer stand. So we'd get a load of Big Chefs, then swing by the A&W for a gallon of the most divine nectar this side of the galaxy!

There was a Burger Chef in Asheville, NC when I was growing up (in the '60's), wonder if it was the same chain? It was excellent; thanks for the reminder!

I like Jack in the Box for their other menu items. In N Out has the best burgers.

umm Hungry Jacks is pretty much the only burger joint, but we have KFC and Red Rooster, Subway, then all the pizza places like Dominos, Pizza Hut and Eagle Boys... but thats it haha

Jack in the Box used to sell kangaroo meat in their hamburgers, so they're kind of Australian.

I am sure a fast burger joint sell it but my favorite is a bottle of water.

Paws down. But Dairy Queen near Johnson Camp on I 10 east of Tucson AZ had KILLER Jalepeno Cheeseburgers in the 90s. Don't know if it's even there now.
The Red Apple in Ozona TX off I 10 had insanely good burgers in the 80s, with real live chocolate MALTS. I think It's gone now.

There are tons of independent and or small chain fast food burger joints that serve up some of the best burgers in the world. Right here in Austin we have Dan's, Fran's, Mighty Fine, P. Terry's, Burger Tex, Hill Bert's Burgers, Dirty's Burgers and many many more?

Rent the movie "Super Size Me" sometime. You'll never step foot in a McDonalds again.

By the way that Big Mac meal (regular size) contains 1,130 calories with a Coca-Cola Classic. The meal also includes 1,325 mg of sodium.

To be fair, I can't see the other places on the list being much healthier! ;)
I chose McDonald's as the 'least of evils' from what was, let's face it, a pretty grim bunch of options in the first place.
Since I'm from the UK, I haven't even heard of most of those places- the only other one I'm familiar with is Burger King, and if it's a choice between the two, I simply think McDonald's burgers taste SLIGHTLY better.
Burger joints are by no means my first choice when eating out (I prefer to go to local pubs or cafes, or there's a place called Roosters that does really nice grilled peri peri chicken and rice).
I rarely eat at McDonald's, and when I do go there, it's usually for breakfast.
I find that their burgers tend leave unpleasant little gritty bits in your mouth after you've eaten them. I think Burger King is even worse though- last time I had a burger from there, it was like someone literally threw up in a bun then wrapped it up. I haven't bothered eating there since. :/
