Best 'Dumb' Movie of All Time?
'Dumb & Dumber'
'Dumb & Dumber'
We don't care how "dumb" it is, "Dumb & Dumber" still has us giggling 16 years later. Favorite line: Lloyd: What are my chances? Mary: Like… one out of a million. Lloyd: So you're telling me there's a chance. Yeah!
'There's Something About Mary'
Who can forget the "hair gel" scene? And we've never looked at a "frank and beans" the same way ...
'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan'
This just might be the funniest movie we've ever seen. Sure, it's offensive, but that's the whole point. And the term "sleeve of wizard" has taken on a whole new meaning.
'The 40-Year-Old Virgin'
If you've ever thought about getting your chest hair waxed, you surely reconsidered after this hilarious scene. (Warning: Contains foul language.)
"Wayne's World" is a little dated, but it's still a classic. Come on, you know you still occasionally say "asphinctersayswhat?"
"Airplane" might be the ultimate spoof movie. Most famous lines: Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious. Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.
The sight of a balding Tom Cruise dancing to Ludacris’ “Get Back” had people rolling in the aisles -- enough to call the movie Cruise's post-Scientology "comeback." (Warning: Contains foul language.)
The sight of Will Ferrell running down the street naked is permanently emblazoned on our brain. (Warning: Contains nudity, foul language.)
If Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels truly reprise their roles as lovably clueless best friends Lloyd and Harry, we'd be first in line on opening night. Sixteen years later, Lloyd's sheer stupidity still cracks us up in every scene (Lloyd: "Uh, what is the Soup Du Jour?" Waitress: "It's the Soup of the Day." Lloyd: "Mmmm. That sounds good. I'll have that.")
We'd also love to see Lauren Holly make a return as way-out-of their
league love interest Mary Swanson. (Lloyd: "What are my chances?" Mary: "Like … one out of a million." Lloyd: "So you're telling me there's a chance. Yeah!")
But is "Dumb & Dumber" really the funniest "dumb" movie of all time? We know every generation has its own favorite, but here are some of our picks from 1980 through the present day. Who can forget the "hair gel" scene from "There's Something About Mary"? And "Borat" is simply the funniest movie we've ever seen in our lives, offensive or not.
