The opposite of albinism called melanism: a recessive trait where the skin and fur are all black. Awesome!

+1It doesn't, and I'm not exactly certain it could correctly be called a mutation, it is an uncommon recessive gene, both parents would have to carry the gene for it to appear in any of their young. It's a rare occurrance in most species, even more rare than albinism, but it is most common in the leopard, what is called a "black panther" is actually an all black leopard.reply
