Bear robs candy store. Owner lets burglar keep candy. If a bear broke into a gun store and left with a rifle, should the bear be allowed to keep the rifle too?

If the bear leaves with a rifle, he can keep it. What's the bear gonna do with a rifle anyway? Shake down campers for their pic-a-nik baskets?

I have never heard of a bear stealing a gun. In the first place a bear would never break into a gun store. They don't eat wood or steel.

if the damn bear has thumbs and can handle a rifle then it might just be advisable NOT to make yourself his target

Sure why not. He would have to take a gun safety course and the human silhouette is usually what you fire at. I think the bear would get immense joy and satisfaction from that. I think that 2nd admentment needs to be honored even if you are loaded bear.

LOL, ok, phisology 101, you need thumbs to grip an object, without them no bear can grip the stock of a rifle. try picking up a glass without the use of your thumbs

    From the Constitution:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

It's the same spelling as a real, live bear and means to brandish or carry something. "Bare" refers to something that is uncovered; "bare skin."

You're think ladies fashions [baring the arms]. The correct spelling of the 2nd Amendment's wording includes the word "bear," same as the topic question. :)~
