    I knew a teacher who taught Christian Living Education at a Catholic school tell us that Science and evolution tell us the how while the Bible tells us the why. The whole Genesis thing was meant to be symbolic not literal. Why other Christians don't follow that line of thinking I'll never know.

    The earliest modern human skeleton (full skeleton) was found in Egypt
    atleast 33,000 years old.

    If the Adam and Eve were around during that period (which is possible) than the timeline of the Bible...is simply.well...wrong.

    Well, I am not a Christian, but even I accept that the Old Testament has some things with historical value. I do not believe that Adam and Eve were the "First Two"
    And given that most Abramists in general believe the world was made in like 6000 years?...I do not believe that. I go with evolution over everything.

    As the saying goes, the greatest story ever told does not mean factual. More likely we have evolved from years of being here but we do have a missing link how we went from hunter gatherer to modern day man.

    This as some people in science will say happened over night, figure of speech to this but how come we went from one to another in such a short span of time? What would you think if a group of people cam down from the galaxy and said we are your creators.

    We made you in a petri dish and left you here to your own devices. You fell short on evolving so we gave you a boost. Not really so far off when you think about it.

    IFF you are willing to accept that the Bible tells Truth in a manner to be understandable by man, both can be correct. Recall that 'Adam' simply means 'a man' and Eve is actually a play on words. The entire story can EASILY be considered an allegory talking about who we are and where we came from.

    Science cannot point out when humans first received an immortal soul. But it is interesting that until around the time spoken of in the Torah, humans went from millions of years as a hunter-gatherer society to an entirely new way of life never seen before. Whether it was agriculture or the development of the written word, SOMETHING changed about that time. And science frowns on 'coincidence'.

    There shouldn't be a single vote for Adam and Eve. There is NO factual data on them. There is NOTHING but an ancient myth.
