Ay-san Hasn't Been Around In While. Why Is That?

I was touched to see that a few of my friends here have expressed how much they miss having me around on here. It is heartwarming to know that I left that much of an impression on users around here and that my absence didn't go unnoticed. I guess I should explain myself, shouldn't I?
There are a few reasons why I haven't been on Sodahead in a long time. One of them is that I have a new boyfriend. He definitely takes up a TON of my time nowadays. But I have no problem with that. We have been together since November 21st. Thats right, I know the date. We are very happy together and it would seem as though we'll stay this way for quite some time. Now that we're together though I've been staying over at his place during the night when I'd usually do my online thing, and so my Soadhead time has gone out the window. I'll leave it up to you guys to imagine what this time is now being used for ;)
Aside from the boyfriend thing, the last 1/2 of the semester I really cracked down on my college studies. My grades were not that great. I had gotten below a C on my last two Calc 2 tests (and my first failing grade), I forgot about my philosophy midterm and walked into class one day surprise with an exam I had done none of the readings for (I didn't pay attention to lectures either), I wasn't going to classes on a regular basis, etc. I decided to buckle down and really concentrate on my studies since I realized my performance now will affect my admission into grad school. And so I really got on task and pulled myself up in all my classes, finishing the semester with a 3.69 GPA. Next semester will be even better. I've found I can balance a social life and my schooling, but I have to put my education first. Whether I like it or not thats what I'm in college for, not to go out every night.
Furthermore, I also have new responsibilities that keep my time occupied as well. I was selected as a Director for Pride Awareness Month for UF. I am responsible for film screenings of LGBT related movies. This includes getting the rights to show movies, choosing what movies to show, coming up with a theme for the film series, advertising the events, etc. I've also had to do research as to bringing in speakers/performers for PAM as well. Its quite fulfilling to be taking a more active part in the LGBT community, but also time consuming and stressful. Its all worth it however. I love what I'm doing.
And so now you know a little bit more about what I've been up to and why I haven't been around as much. I haven't abandoned my friends on here in any way, but sometimes life makes you choose between things. No matter how little I may still be on SH anymore, I will not forget those who have helped expand my views of the world, who have been there for me in times of desperation, and who I wish to keep a part of my life.

I literally squealed when I read the word "boyfriend". (Which is funny because I'm sitting in a corner during gym class right now, so I probably confused some people.) I'm so happy/jealous for you!
Bringing up grades and LGBT work (and a new boyfriend!), that's a good, valid excuse, I'd say. I definitely have to get on SH more often, I missed you! Hope you have a good 2010!
...in any event, hope to chat with you more in the coming days. And to that boy who's taking up all your time... I've got a message for him (which hopefully passes the SH censors this time-I deleted the name... come on guys... it originally said '[Derek] Jeter', okay? ...let's let the laughs keep rolling, cause I love this damn site!...plus Aysohmay is cool with all this, ok?)
*HUG* Very understandable - and I'm so glad you're doing well in your studies again! :-D
Yes, I was a lil worried, but I figured school caught up with you.
Just let me know you're not in a ditch somewhere every so often, kay? You worried your Archie-ho. ;-)
Awesome song, btw. You always find the good stuff.
but don't forget your college.
