At what age did you realize life is a bitch, and people can be so ugly ?

I realized this a long time ago. When I was 8.

When I was quite young(maybe 12)and learned how divorce wasn't just a part of my life but that of so many others.

Of course now I realize how it's all tied of the wealthy few's manipulation of everyone else...it pretty much all boils down to how they can make you believe what they want to sell you. The more we believe in things like religion and consumerism, the farther away we get from a natural being connected to our environment, basically the worse everything gets.

About 13 and then intensely at around 15

Perhaps I personify the eternal optimist I've yet to come to that acute realisation..Be happy you are far too young to succumb to being stoic and cynical.Every part of life is a blessing if you seek out and learn the lesson it is meant to teach you

High school, back then if you wereen't part of the "in" crowd you were treated badly.But I know several of them wound up hooked on drugs and a couple went to jail. I've done things that I know none of them would have ever thought of doing like going into a burning building cause there might be someone trapped inside, didn't think about it for a second that's what I was trained to do & I did it. Had fire pushed down on top of me that was so hot it melted all the reflective tape on my helmet and my turnout coat. Drove 18 wheeler on black ice and almost went into the ditch cause I was sliding on the ice. So their actions just made me meaner & tougher.

I believe that everyone has a BS filter when they are born and they believe most of what they hear but somewhere around 21 it gets clogged up and they they realize the BS for what it is then the jig is up. Why people like me changed from being Democrat to Republican and why some girls want nice guys and guys want to get married all that sort of thing.

It`s OK. You cant choose your family can you ?.
Looking back i think she had many problems within herself but when you are just a kid you`re too young to understand that. You just feel the hurt they impose on you.
It`s very sad when people are like that.

My first lesson came when I was around ten, but my 'post-graduate' education came about twenty years later. That's when I learned that we attract the kind of people we THINK we want in our lives. If they're sucky/ugly, it's because some part of us thinks of ourselves as sucky/ugly. Life changes from the inside out.

I've often thought like minds hang together...but when you see things that are right that is when you can fix them...Me I just hang with other princesses so I'm all good LOL

i saw the ugly side when i was five . but you cant have go without bad now can ya

I'm 22 but I'm gonna say mid twenties because I doubt people would believe I relized this when I was 16 or 17.

That is about when it hit me!

Life is beautiful and wonderful, we guests if good people live in the best possible

Sure life can be a rough ride but it is how you deal with it that matters.
We are only responsible for our own actions not for the actions of others.
