Assuming time travel is possible, & you went to the past would you remember events in the future that have now not have happened yet? Even if you did wouldn't they now just be a imagined future since they haven't happened?

"Nice idea" but unless your a sci-fi buff, no one can forsee the future; Even when they travel to the past. (Too many alternate realities will come about).

I like to think that all possible realities exist together, so if you were to go back in time you would be existing in an alternate timeline/dimension/reality. Therefore what you 'remembered' of the future wouldn't necessarily be relevant since it would be a different timeline.

That's not to say that they couldn't be very similar, however. If all possible realities exist than it is probable that all possible quantum variations of the universe could exist. This could mean that the time you go back to is imperceptably different than the timeline you left.

Assuming that time travel within the same timeline is possible, then all sorts of paradoxes form. If those weren't an issue, however, I doubt that your memories of the future would be changed, since for you they are a part of your experience. This question assumes that time is a linear arrow, but by going back in time in the same timeline you have created a looped arrow. Your past is actually the future. I think you would still remember everything going forward, you would just have a unique take on the actions as they happened.

If you went back in time you would be in the past but you would not be in your own past but in the past of an alternate universe or timeline that branched off from your own timeline when you went to it. So you would continue to remember what would now be in the future but it would be the future of an alternate universe not the future of the universe you would now be in.

Well, only you and your body are going back in time, and doing so would not erase your memories..... so yeah you'd remember events in the future. They are a probable future, as long as you don't make any major changes when you go back in time.

Not unless traveling back in time made you younger in every other way.

Interesting take, would the state of the matter that makes up our bodies (thus our minds - since neural activity is an electro-chemical process) revert to the state they were in at the time we go back to? Are we all time travelers and just forgot?
