Facebook doesn't actually make a profit - I guess they could charge companies that use Facebook advertising fees but I think if they try to charge people..who have all pretty much had their fill of FB anyway..there will be a mass exodus and a free site developed to replace it.

Nope. It opened overpriced, and they keep screwing up with privacy issues.

That is actually typical for new offerings. Some go up a bit then down some. Others go down some right off. It remains to be seen what it will do in the long run.

FaceBook was and is overrated. It is a bunch of women spreading gossip and teenagers shouting obscenities. I'm not surprised that investors tired of it quickly........

The question was asked here on SH if "you" the voter would buy FB stock. I said no then and cited the fact that about 10 years ago there were dot-com stocks that went belly up, and this reminded me of those stocks. What does FB have to offer stockholders?

I don't even know why people choose to use facebook. It's like posting your daily life in the newspaper. And while you are doing it they are gathering a lot of information about you.

It was over valued and nothing more than a toy for those with falsely inflated egos and an attention span measured in seconds. A sham of bogus communication technology better suited for big brother and merchandisers tracking you than real humans

hmm,, EPS less than a buck and some one thought the share price is near $ 40 ??

looks like some people got the short end of the like stick on this one..

once the price drops to less than $ 20 / share, then I shall keep an eye on it...

I don't understand why it was thought to be worth over 30 bucks a share...pretty ridiculous...it's a product that produces nothing, it's a social site for crying out loud...and to tell the truth it's just a vehicle that is loaded with ads which I ignore....

Nearly all IPs fall after initially rising. This is normal. You are better off not being among the first to buy the stock.
