I don't want them walking on me, but It's not fear, just a little creepy. If I ever find one in the house I catch it and put it back outside where it belongs.
I've been bitten by a black widow, not allergic. Recluses don't bother me since a friend said tell them to give you Dapsone a leprosy drug if they bite you.
The regular house spiders trap those other creepy crawly insects. They are beneficial as long as they are all over my house. When dusting, I found the webs here and there and I would get rid of them. It is the black widow that can kill a human being so if I live out in the southwest, I would shake my shoes before I put them on.
especially the muslim ones. lol. frankly there are some that do scare me but most are beneficial and just hang out eating insects. their cousins, ticks, are more of a problem here. talk about vampires, these blood suckers are for real.
Did you know we eat lots of spiders ... When we are asleep spiders and other bugs somehow end up in our mouths and we eat them ... I read that last year ... Never thought of it before ... I clean up under the bed lots more since I read that ... I carry the spiders I find out to the yard where I want them ... Spiders are good for us since they eat lots of other bugs ... Besides we should not just go around killing things just because we can ... When I was a Girl Scout leader I got a Spider Lady award ... I saw another leader taking a bug spray can to the girl's restroom and stopped her in time ... I carried out the spiders and told the girls how you are not supposed to kill bugs if you can avoid doing so ...
If your in the woods spiders rank very low. Scorpions hurt a lot more Pigs & big cats are number one. When I work out side I always strap on a gun lot of rattlers & cooperheads.Pays to have snake boots and outside domestic cats snakes hate there smell.
Most People are actually accused now days as being scared of homosexuals. I can still remember when I was a kid that I thought that if you were afraid to begin a Game of Pool, then you were said to be Arachnophobic.
Sorry but I'm not that brave. My sister-in-law once trapped one under a drinking glass. Once it was dead and I'd vavvuumed it up I had to throw the glass away, I could never use it again.
OK, let's see, you weigh I am sure over 100 pounds and the spider weighs almost nothing ... In Texas there are only two poisonous kinds and they usually don't want to bite humans because they need to save their poison for what they eat ...
The Black Widow Spider is of no use at all to Man. Also, A Black Widow Spider has been known to "massage" and "manipulate" a ground-snake, with her sensitive-paws, while riding on his back, so to speak; and then precisely at the "right time" slip her fangs into the snake’s main nerve and spew a load of venom into the snake; granting him total paralysis of all nerves. She then lays her eggs into a carved-out sack for her babies to survive in when the eggs are hatched. The baby-Black-Widows slowly devour the nearly dead snake while he’s actually still alive. He later dies, succumbing to the loss of meat on his bones. Black Widow Spiders do not eat enough harmful insects to ever be labeled as being beneficial to Man. If you see a Black Widow Spider, then the first thing that you should do is kill the Slut!!!
No, I live in the woods and they're a part of things. When they're too big or are hassling me or my dogs though, as some of them seem quite feisty, I squish them. Otherwise I let them fulfill their life's mission which is to catch the bugs that really like to bite us, and that's the NJ mosquito! I have also seen spider webs catch an awesome amount of dust! Like little air filters or something! lol
Can you imagine being their size and having someone our size freak out and scream and stomp our feet as we flail our arms around though?
Utterly terrified of them and bugs. It's a phobia causing panic attacks, if I see them inside my house. Outside, it's not so bad, as it's not my 'safe' place, but still pretty bad.
A bear will eat you ... We eat spiders that find their way into our mouths when we are sleeping ... Spiders are useful and they eat harmful bugs ... If you see them inside just scoop them up on a newspaper or something and take them outside ...
I was bit by a brown recluse once and the skin really looked awful so I would probably kill both a black widow and recluse, but I don't exterminate because I would be killing helpful spiders ...
