Both are correct, depending on what country you are from. The U.S. puts the month first, then the day and then the year. Other countries put the day first, then the month and then the year. I believe the U.S. military writes the day first and then the month also.

Wiki says that Canada also uses this calendar date too. Hmmm, I learn something new every time I come on this site : )

i think we only do it month/day/year when talking in conversations such as " we're meeting up april 17th, right?" but on all written documents and legal documents it is always day/month/year

I'm ready! I plan to watch the Movie " 2012 " and will have a large bowl of Popcorn waiting for what I already know won't happen.

THE END OF THE WORLD IS NOT COMING......... However..... Anytime there will be a Rapture and believers in Christ are ready for that event.

In the U.S., "21/12/2012" indicates a special month only observed by obscure sects of those worshiping the number 21. Non-practitioners such as myself don't even know what the 21st month is called.
