While some people consider it to be the same thing, I am realistic in the fact that legal or not, they are going to happen. And it is safer to have them legal for everyone involved.
Now, as for the fathers choice, yes, ideally, he should be involved in the decision. But again, I am not going to have force that. What about if the girl was raped? Should she have to get permission from him to get an abortion? What about if it was from incest? Should she ask him if it is okay? I understand that these are rare occurrences, but they do happen. These are the very reasons to keep abortion legal and available to everyone that wants/needs one. If you don't agree with it, then don't get one, don't allow your children to have them. But be ready to deal with the consequences should they have an error in judgement, or are the victim of an attack.
Check out this link, it explains a lot.

My CHOICE to NEVER have an abortion under any circumstance is still my CHOICE and if you take it away from one side, eventually it will swing back and be taken away from the other side.
Its a matter of fighting battles you can win. Choice can not be taken away from anyone in any situation, but if the focus becomes on other options, if perhaps better education and stronger families were fostered we could lower the number of abortions done each year.
As well if we stop funding abortion and make it the responsibility of the person who became pregant unwantedly more causion would be taken when engaging in behavior that is inhierently risky
And here's the thing that gets me the most: rape victims. They shouldn't be forced to give birth to a child they never wanted in the first place.
I think there are better options than abortion, and I'll do my best to persuade people to avail themselves of them.
That said, I have no more right to force a woman to have a baby she doesn't want, than I do to force her to not have a baby she does want.
Besides, if women can't get abortions legally, they'll just get them on the black market anyway.
