Haha this is the first year that I've heard about it, but the thing is, I just can't stay quiet for that long, even if I tried.. But our school did a thing where you wear black and rainbow to school. Not too many people did it, but I did, because I don't think anybody should get bullied, ever, for anything.

i always do :3 it's sad that the day is losing support. i was the only one in my entire school participating. i had four friends that didnt do it because they forgot, one that couldnt hold the silence, and one that moved to another state (she and i are the biggest DoS supporters i know. we do it every year and are 100% loyal to it.) i lot of people have negative opinions about it, and most of the time i can understand them. but honestly, no one is making you participate. i do it to support a cause i strongly believe in.

My niece won't let me stay silent for a long period of time. Plus, I've tried to participate in the past, but I always end up forgetting why I'm not talking and start talking, effectively ruining it, lol.

To me this is just like a "Day without a Mexican" in California... While I'm all about LGBT equality some of the more vocal proponents can just be annoying, so a day when they just STFU is pleasant.

I wish I could, but I have the Math Competitions tomorrow, and Spelling Bee. I can't tomorrow. Any other day, I would, honest, but tomorrow is just quite... unavailable for me.
But I will do it another day. Even though it's not the National day, it'll still be participation.

I know many people are saying, "Silence won't do anything". That's true, but it's like September 11; we all have a moment of silence as a sign of RESPECT to what happened. It's kind of similar to this National Day of Silence.
