I have lost 100lbs in a year and I'm going to lose 50 more this year and then I will be in the ideal weight group for my height. I changed my eating habits and started to excerise. My husband started this year and has lost 65lbs, he only wants to lose about 30 more. You have to take it one day at a time. Food to me is like a drug or alcohol to an addict. It's not easy and some days are harder because you have to eat t o live. People that don't have eating problems don't understand but trust me, it is a struggle after 20 plus years of using food for more than nourishment to stop. It can be done and I'm proof!

there is not much i can do, my weight gain was from child birth and diabetes, and my health has been very poor all my life so there isnt much i can do to lose weight that my heart can withstand.

Change your eating habits and do water excerises, it's easier on the body in water. It has taken me 22 years to finally care enough about me to get the weight off. One day at a time. Diabetes runs in my family and have seen my dad change, you can too. I'm here if you need support!

my eating habits are great. lots of vegies, low sugar, low fat, etc... I do a lot of swimming when I can, it is the about the only exercise I can do without my heart going into AFib... I do get other exercise. I walk the stairs several times a day. but my health has been so bad with my heart that I can barely do anything else without the AFib starting.

No, i know your arent. I would always welcome some suggestions that may help without causing my heart problems. I used to walk around the path at the park (1 mile) every day. but since then my back muscles have made that an impossiblity. so i am up for suggestions.

I weighed 308 when I started and now I weigh 208. The first month/ two months I just changed everything I ate and drank. I ate 6 small meals aday and at the same time everyday and nothing after 630 at night. Drink lots of water and stay away from juices and most fresh fruits. I joined a gym and made my self walk or do the bike for 20 minutes. I couldn't do anymore. My body wouldnt let me. I did that for a month. I would add 10 minutes a week until I got up to an hour. I started to to the treadmill, bike and elepitcal(excuse the spelling). Finally when summer got here I found excerise on the internet and started doing them and walking around the pool. Its a 200 dollar pool from walmart. Set small goals and if you have a bad day shake it off and start again tomorrow. Plus, sunday was my rest day, did my stuff around the house, with a husband and 2 kids I had alot to do. If you have an email I can send you foods and meal plans that could help.

I agree with the food thing. I stopped drinking soda and lost 40 in a month... but that was it... i do eat some fruit but not too much, alot of vegies. I will definitely have to see if I can get my hands on and exercise bike because i can rest my arms on the handlebars if my back starts to give out. I do have an email i will give it to you.

Get the bike that you can rest your back against, its alot better on the back and hiney, because my butt is to big for the stand up bikes.

I used to be in high school, until I joined the swim and softball team. Then I lost a bunch of weight, and have kept it off long since I graduated :)

I'm 163 at 6'0'' which is weight I lost my running. At one point, I was up at 225. Running and diet are what did it. I had to diet first in order to lose enough weight to feel comfortable running. Then at 185 I started running, and gradually came down to 163. I like this weight, right now.

im concidered "normal weight". my bmi is 20.2, but the weight i am, im not happy with. to lose weight i either dont ear or count calories(depends on my weight but i usually limit myself to 1000), as well as drink water and juice.

I listen to my organism now. It says "eat this, don't eat that..." itself so I let it tell me what to do and not vice versa.

Went on a mostly liquid diet. juices, water, teas, some fruit and veggies. Staying away from meat and starches. dropped from 265 to 235 in 2 months and energy is through the roof.

Right on! Keep on keeping on~ Terrific news. You do need protein and staying away from starches isn't going to cut the cravings. Moderation, exercise, clear mind and you will be great.

Thank you. Not trying to be rude but we need aminoes not the protien. That was a hard one for me to swallow as well being taught that way. Nutritionist finally pounded in the fact when he said, 'How many cows does a cow or elephant eat?" and , "Are they strong animals?" It was my holy crap moment.

I am in the Health field also and I liquid diet is just a quick fix. Please don't stay on this diet, juices and fruit are sugars and not good for you. Once in awhile yes but not alot. Vegetables, fresh produce and lean meats(chicken, turkey) are better for you, plus exercise. I hate for you to reach your goal and then stop and gain everything back. Please trust me, I can help you...

I thank you! Have done much research over the last few years and disagree with the lean meats comment but I am taking it carefully. I have not cut out everything completely but have controlled intake of certain items greatly.

Yep~ I'm like 200 something now, but I used to be waaaaay worse. Most of it was from stress eating (bad childhood) and after a knee injury in middle school I wasn't very active. But I go to a clinic every 3 weeks for a B-12 shot and pills that reduce my hunger. Basically the lap band in pill form. It works really well, just got to do mild exercise (wii fit 1 hour, gym for an hour, walking, etc.)

I gained nearly 30 pounds when I went through menopause. I'm now 5 lbs less than when I gained the weight thanks to Zumba Fitness. I also lift weights twice a week, but it was Zumba that got the weight off in 4 months!

I sometimes gain weight, but then I stop eating till my pants fit again.

You only have to be smarter than your food.
