Having lived outside the USA for 30 years...my fears may be a bit different than most. I am terribly frightened of bombs and rogue military forces firing into crowds of people, having my passport confiscated and denied exit visas (this happened more times than I can count)

heights, actually it's the fear of falling that terrifies me. And going under the knife. Every time they start to knock me out I start to get hysterical and then I'm out cold.

I'm afraid of heights, when I was little, I fell off of the swing when I was really high up and I cracked my head open, now every time I'm up high, I think that I'll fall.

If I had to pick from the list I would say lighning.....if I could truely pick what most scares me I would say the worst examples of mankind. The ills of corrupt government and how it relates to it's people.

I have to go with Lightening!!! I'm unsettled with anything electrical, such as outlets that spark when you pull out a plug. Therefore a huge ELECTRICAL LIGHTENING BOLT especially one that is unexpected and to close for comfort makes my hair stand up!!!! pull plug huge electrical lightening bolt unexpected close comfort hair

snakes certainly strike a deep fear in me, but undoubtedly my worse fear is heights. i am an acrophobiac to the hilt. It has gotten worse as i've gotten older. I recently visited NYC and the scale of the buildings, not even being in them-being down on the street looking up at them, scared the bejeesus out of me. i refused to go on a ride at a state fair recently and my 9-year old daughter had no problem with it. it's awful.

I'm not as afraid of these things as I am bothered by most of them.

One of my old teachers had snakes, mice, and spiders in his room. and the woman teacher had snakes too.

I am afraid of heights and really high speeds though. I think that I'm getting better with both though.

i used to have an incredible fear of hieghts.... and to some degree, i still do... i think its more of a "respect for" thing now.. i know everyone has a fear, whether they cop to it or not.... sice becoming a father recently, my real fear is something happening to my daughter... and/or my fiance... and NOT being able to help them.. i mean, i live in houston, and there are so many hurdles out there... from bad drivers.... carjackers... and i dont dwell on it... but any thing can happen... i guess the biggest fear in all of that... aside from any harm done to either one, is that being the ONE day didnt tell them i love them.... sorry if that sounds cheesie.... but truth is truth..
