So much. I don't know any Goths in California but that doesn't change anything. I still love 'em. The culture, the fashion, the widely expanded vocabulary, books, films, etc.
I've been way more of a rivethead this last decade (getting absorbed into generic aggrotech, I must admit); though the gothic scene still holds a special place in my heart.
Bauhaus, Legendary Pink Dots, and Faith & the Muse being the best bands of this genre whose concerts I've attended.
Yeh, goth/emo/punk/scene/skater and anything that basically has color and unique hair? Somehow they are connected to me. I want to be emo, but that would make me a scene kid because I am not emo at all! Lol.
But I don't dress like one. I just act like one, like I'm very moody almost all the time; but I'm not a satanist. I also like being alone, and I hate going to parties; and also I hate being social.
Yes!! the Only thing i love more then Goth is my Boyfriend and my Mum!! SO HELL YEAH! i love all types of goth! but my fav's are Cyber, Steampunk, Victorian and metal.

I was never into fads, even when I was young. My mother once told me I was grown beyond my years. I could have cared less what groups and people wore and who they thought was the greatest celeb or what clothes to wear. I have always been a individualist.
