Not only do I wrap the presents well ..
but as my own children noted ..
(and complain)
they will easily tell you I have a tendency to "hermetically Seal" the presents too ..
(they know that if they try to peek .. it will be self-evident ...)
Nowadays, my gift-wrapping talents consist of putting currency in money cards and signing my name, or buying gift cards. However, when I used to buy presents for Christmas, birthdays and other special occasions, I was a pretty damn good gift-wrapper! Well, maybe I should amend that statement to say that if the present was put in a rectangular or square BOX, I did it up like a pro! But if it's a toy or a bottle of booze or any other weirdly shaped present, forget it. When I gift wrap those things, it looks like a blind two-year-old did it! It's times like those when I thank God for tissue paper and gift bags!
My grandfather taught me how and, while it sounds narcissistic, I wrap presents well most of the time. Once in a while something very oddly shaped will come up where you either spend a lot of time figuring out how to wrap it or just put some tissue paper around it, a ribbon, and put it in a bag (I had to wrap a pyramid once).
Yes, I make gorgeous presents, so that under my tree looks beautiful.
I like to use rolls of Tulle, and made huge, fluffy bows. This year we are using shades of blue, silver, white to wrap all of our packages, so the gifts have a unified look.

Except I'm out of masking tape, so no presents this year.
