danila777 2012/05/11 17:42:06Yes+5My husbands a contractor yet I do all the fixing around the house. While he went to visit his parents in Europe over Christmas, I repainted all the house, changed all the mouldings, install a dishwater in the kitchen, fixed the deck, and kept the car going. He comes home and complains that I did all the work because anyway he has to rebuild the house why did I spend all this time and money?

- dispatcher 2012/05/11 14:31:14Yes+3I take care of all our house hold needs, If you own your home , you owe it yourself to learn how to do almost anything so that you do not have to pay someone else to show you how they do it. Home depot is pretty good for giving advice on household projects.reply

My dad teaches me to fix things and so did my ex husband (before he became a woman). You can learn to fix anything on YouTube.reply

+2Good for you! While, I am pretty good at it, I have the name of my handy man on my refrigerator for when my tinkering doesn't work. People like you, save those of us like me, ( people who THINK we can fix things). Keep up the good work!! My father could fix anything and was a carpenter in his youth. ( He passed away a few years ago.) My husband was pretty good at fixing most things and he too passed away from cancer a little over a year ago. Neither of my grown sons have the knack, so i am pretty darn self sufficient.....BUT, Joe the handyman is only a phone call away.....Bless his heart!!!reply - Rusty S... L K 2012/05/11 16:42:08
