Rick Santorum was the GOP presidential candidate that gave Mitt Romney a real run for his money. After his impressive victory in Iowa, although late-announced, he was catapaulted into the national spotlight.

He presented himself as the social-conservative champion who would draw a sharp contrast against President Obama. He was successful in carrying 11 states before dropping out of the race.

He managed to get a lot more support than many imagined. Many were sad to see him go while others cheered his exit from the national stage. Eventually Mitt Romney even called Mr. Santorum probably to unite the party in the now famous
"Anyone but Obama" movement.

So what do you think? Are you sad his campaign is over? Are you glad that Santorum is out of the race? Was the momentum he had real enough to win it all? How would he have fared against Pres. Obama?

although he did give me and everyone else plenty to make jokes about he was about the worst person I could ever think of to run for president
