Are you for or against animal cruelty?

I clicked involontary on "FOR" and I do not really know how to change the vote...but I am totally against animal abuse.

If a person sees no evil in treating their pets cruelly, how do you think they will treat their fellow man?

i find animal cruelty evil.

And I donate to multiple organizations, tho NOT to PETA

But my definition of abuse might not be the same as yours. I'm against the inhumane treatment and slaughter of animals (such as fighting them, torturing them, etc.) but I'm not against testing for medical research (because until there are enough people to use and the government makes it legal, it is necessary) and I'm not against merciful killings (euthanasia) or killing them for food or protection.

However, I do not support factory farming or slaughter houses. Animals killed for food should only be hunted/fished or raised in humane settings (free range). I firmly believe that if you cannot kill it, then you do not have the right to eat it.

BUT it has to be the RIGHT definition. Ive seen people claim dogs on leashes to be cruel.

Well, you know, I wouldn't be, but I'm perverse like that when confronted by false propositions.

Or whatever this thing here is if I'm misremembering which one a false proposition is again.

OMG I LOVE animals with a passion and I cringe at the thought of anyone
mistreating an animal in any form. Animals are a gift from God and they are so innocent and loving and do not deserve the abuse some human savages give them.
I am disgusted to hear about animals being harmed in today's society.
Anyone harming a animal in any capacity should get the maximum penalty by law.

you forget that some of us rely on animal products for practical reasons. for instance, i'm a welder. i work with molten metal, super-hot flames, and electric arcs. to protect me from molten spatter (the sparks flying everywhere) and the UV/infrared rays given off by the arc, i am required to wear a pair of heavy cowhide gloves,

a cowhide jacket,

and leather boots.

and let's not forget that i ride motorcycles as well.



the question is: would you deny me the protective gear vital to my job and hobbies?
