It's a step to advance our knowledge for the benefit of all mankind. We should all be encouraging our youth to excel at mathematics, physics and the knowledge of sciences to expand our intellegence beyond where we are now. the only limititations are those we place in from of ourselves. Why not grow?

Not sure it is something I would get excited about, but it is interesting. I do find it amazing though that the US government has anything to do with something this complicated being done successfully.

But it's still Ok for Jerry Brown to increae Californians' income taxes to match Obama's gift of U.S. taxpayer funds, just to build for California, a "bullet train"? Why not just leave earlier for your destination and save all of us money you don't need to spend?

It's very exciting indeed! I very much doubt they'll find any organic molecules though. :)
