I am avoiding conversations with conservatives who won't let the market place of ideas settle political questions. I avoid people who don't write clearly and therefore don't think clearly, and therefore represent our party and our country so poorly. Our GOP has become associated with rednecks, religious fanatics and hillbillies. There is one issue in this Presidential election. It is saving the American economy. So many of the other issues should be handled by the particular person's church. We should be the party of common sense, logic and getting the job done. We nominate people that you wouldn't trust to hold your wallet, and then wonder why the middle class has shrunk so much, and wonder how our business leaders are getting so rich in these terrible economic times. The thinking people need to come together and quit letting elections be bought. Personally, I don't care if you think Obama sucks or that you enjoy seeing him in a monkey suit. I would rather hear some rational ideas on how to improve the economy. Otherwise, we look like the ones in the monkey suit. If you can't help, please sit down and listen and learn.
