Are you an anarchist?

I used to be a big believer in government solutions to the world's problems, but the longer I lived and paid attention, the more blatantly obvious it became to me that government is an unnecessary, and frankly, immoral institution. It claims to exist for the purposes of protecting people from theft, fraud, and violence - but in order to exist, it has to engage in exactly these behaviors. Taxation is theft, propaganda and misinformation is fraud, and wars against all manner of vague threats and social problems are inevitably waged violently.

Someday, the human race will learn to evolve past the need to tell other people what to do and how to live. I hope that day comes sooner rather than later.

In small groups it works very well and there are quite abfew good anarchist communities around the world but some people are just to greedy or power hungry for it to work on a grand scale yet

Anarchy would be fine if people weren't so crazy for power. If we tried it any time soon, society would fall apart. I think we need a strong government that can take care of the people but not cause wars. And world peace. Of course, limited land, since humans don't deserve the whole earth as we are only one animal. Anarchy would work if we only were not as organized/complicated as we are now.

I think people should be mature enough to govern themselves.
