Sadly yes, I'm 5'5 and have been called an Umpa Lumpa on many occasions by my friends, although I know they only mean it in a jokingly manner. Ever since that dreadful day at the beach I got an awful sunburn and trust me the height didnt help. Not to mention you could KIND OF consider me pudgy. >.<

I'm 21 and exactly 5'. The only things that have grown on me since I was 12 are my hips, hair, and breasts... I'm not even lying. I have Jordan's from 2003 that I thought I'd grow into and never did. It's crazy. And I may not be an Umpa Lumpa but my boyfriend calls me Munchkin, Lil' Mex, and Dora the Explorer. Oh and my least favorite: Snooki.

Darn straight I am! Well, honestly, I can't compete with them, because I am vertically unchallenged, and I purchase my wardrobe at Thrift shops these days, but, if they knocked on my door selling Cable TV, or Internet services, sure, I would sign up. Fond memories; when my twin son and daughter were barely 2 years old, they used to stop what they were doing and when the umpa lumpa routine began they would perform their version of the umpa lumpa "dance." Today, my twin 13 year olds tolerate the uniqueness of umpa lumpas and their father. They are very thankful their parents could not afford a video camera when we owned a vhs copy of the movie. (Gee, the "You Tube" video opportunity that was missed!) Mom and Dad screened Gene Wilder in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory all the time back in the day. Thanks for posting the question.
