I had to laugh when I heard of Director George Lucas (who's screenname was, apparently GeorgeLucas) on a Star Wars forum until a Moderator warned him to stop 'impersonating George Lucas'. He wrote "but I am George Lucas!".
I have been temporarily famous. For a few weeks it was simply the craziest, weirdest world and for about 3 days I barely went outside lol.
One thing though.. and I just heard this today on a podcast but it was about David Letterman being asked if he likes being famous. He said it "made the world the way it should be".
Now what he meant was that he leaves the house. people are happy to meet him, they say hello in the streets, people are super-helpful, they want to meet and introduce themselves, talk happily for a few minutes.
You see what he was saying? This is actually what we (all of us) should always be like. This is what we ought to be doing at all times with all of ourselves.
