It seems to me that people want everything fast, convenient and cheap, but nothing is free. Having things that are cheap do come at cost to someone down the line, whether we realize it or not. Some people like bargains and so forth, and others just are plain cheap. Which are you?

Things that I expect to last a long time, I look for bargains.

Things that are short lived of just unimportant, I can be prety cheap.

I will not buy something less expensive, just because it costs less. Quality of price, any day, but I will look for good deals, which may be closeouts or last year's model or a floor sample or even something used, but in good condition. I won't buy the latest Chinese crap, just because it costs less.

I've been concocting iced coffees for my cousin and me, since the weather warmed. They actually taste better than Starbucks whose coffee has a very harsh flavor. I can sew--my mother made sure of that. I can cook--my grandmother made sure of that. My dad was the sort of guy who could fix anything. His example often leads me to try to fix something or make it. I find I enjoy it (but not pulling weeds or mowing lawns).

It depends on what I am buying. I definitely do look for sales and shop for things at thrift stores. I also like quality and am willing to pay for it.

I love the thrill of the hunt. I once had a woman in the thrift shop announce to me that I looked like I knew what I was doing so she was going to follow me around.

I didn't like it either. It was annoying. But I couldn't do much about it. She had terrible taste and kept picking up hideous things and talking to me about them.

I won't buy something just because it's cheap. Chances are, use it once and it breaks.
I am a good bargain hunter though. Have to be in order to do other things, like eat, these days.

I will go out of my way to grab up something of quality that is drastically less expensive, but I will not buy some piece of trash just because it has a low price. Case in point, I will buy cheap record-able cd-r and dvd-r's but my laptop will always be a Lenovo. No Asus for me thanks.
