I was watching the footage of the Mars scientists waiting to see if the spacecraft had landed and it occurred to me that this may have been the largest gathering on the planet of geeks, dweebs, waldos and taped glasses, pocket protected nerds ever assembled in one room.
And when the thing finally hit the ground all the boney armed dweeb men started hugging and weeping. Uhhhhh, it was almost too much to bear. These guys are the real deal, the Big Bang Theory nerds, but not fiction.
OK, so maybe its cool to send 2 billion dollars of taxpayer funded space junk to Mars for the 42nd time, hoping to find something we missed the other 41 times. But do you think that these scientists (and I don't doubt their brilliance for one second) are the nerdiest World of Warcraft playing, Star Trek watching waldos anywhere?
