Many people are too thin skinned. This interferes with an objective and analytical examination of facts, the consequences of those facts for wise human action, and it causes many people to be unable to admit to errors. All of this lies in the way of wisdom and rational action.
Last week I got a call from the blood center reminding me of my Saturday appointment. I was in the middle of coating and frying chicken with gooey hands when I answered the phone. It was a typical telemarketer call, where the caller couldn't pronounce my name and was reading from a card without any semblance of pride in her work.
Now I've been donating blood off and on for 21 years and for the last three years my platelet appointments have always been at 11am on the second Saturday of the month. I've told these people it's goofy to give me reminders two days in advance, so just knock it off, but no. Anyway I told the girl that the best thing for her to do was to put me on a no-call list, but make damn well sure I have a lemon jelly dough nut waiting for me when I got there, I'm sick of the same stale cookies and ended our conversation. I was joking with her, but she took it to heart and told the blood center manager that I was very rude to her and she felt harassed by me.
Saturday morning I showed up 20 minutes early as usual, sat at the registration desk in their reception area and the gal sitting there said her boss had me on her s--t list this morning. Then here it came.. I sat there patiently as the manager walked up, stood before me with her arms crossed then l...

Then here it came.. I sat there patiently as the manager walked up, stood before me with her arms crossed then lambasted and drug me over the coals for five excruciating minutes over my being rude to her telerecruiter, right there in the reception area, all witnessed by three donors being drained and her hired help. At first I thought she must be joking, but she was really steamed at me. She looked as though she'd pop. When this Queen Bee finished buzzing I asked her if she wanted to leave. She told me I could do what ever I wanted. I said I always do what I want and now you're throwing a hissy fit my way. Well that sorta took her up another notch and she started in again, so I stood up and left the blood center shaking my head.
So, 18 gallons is all they get and after driving 4,350 miles, and only missing two lousy appointments in 21 years, I'm finished donating for Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.
Yes they are. But, a worse malady is being too stupid to understand that voting for obumbo and his fellow travelers can only lead to us becoming communist, Muslim, racists.
People are oblivious to the world around them and think that the world should evolve around what they think. People think that folks ought to comply to their needs before they are asked, thin they are to scared to asked for what they want.
Classic case of thin skin is gays who boycott Chick-Fil-A because the owner doesn't support gay marriage. Liberals always use the victim card or the race card to get their way.
Some are and I don't think all of them are LWNJs or RWNJs. Theyare people who are simply intolerant of other opinions. The best is when they block. Good riddance!
Yes, there are people who will find fault in anything, they jump to conclusions, flying off the handle, get their feelings hurt or call out unfairness of any miniscule situation or thing. I say, "GROW UP"!!!...
Yeah, but come on, SH wouldn't be near as entertaining if it weren't for some of the knee jerk thin skinned types. They run in such pretty perfect little circles LOL ;-)

You'd think some folks on SH were teens even if they're not.
It's worrying how vulnerable they are. Lordy........................
