I don't know anybody who said... "I want to be hated, discriminated against and bullied. I want to worry if my family will still love me when I tell them who I am. I want these things."

Don't even waste your time reading this bimbo's crap. She takes stuff totally out of context then like all right wing idiots proclaims she's proved something that isn't even remotely related to the topic.

She is such a dummy she doesn't even know what's she is talking about as she just showed above. Classic example of a little bit of knowledge (she obviously copied and pasted) without knowing what it means.

She got the base pairs right (153 million) then pretends science knows what each base pair combined with the others does. Yeah, she is literally trying to claim that. A hoot. So what in effect this clown is pretending is science looked at every base pair, all 153 million and boldly proclaimed no gay gene. What an ass.

DNA only codes for proteins. It does not code for behavior or thoughts.

    Genetic code
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
A series of codons in part of a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule. Each codon consists of three nucleotides, usually representing a single amino acid. The nucleotides are abbreviated with the letters A, U, G and C. This is mRNA, which uses U (uracil). DNA uses T (thymine) instead. This mRNA molecule will instruct a ribosome to synthesize a protein according to this code.
The genetic code is the set of rules by which information encoded in genetic material (DNA or mRNA sequences) is translated into proteins (amino acid sequences) by living cells.

The code defines how sequences of three nucleotides, called codons, specify which amino acid will be added next during protein synthesis. With some exceptions,[1] a three-nucleotide codon in a nucleic acid sequence specifies a single amino acid. Because the vast majority of genes are encoded with exactly the same code (see the RNA codon table), this particular code is often referred to as the canonical or standard genetic code, or simply the genetic code, though in fact some variant codes have evolved. For example, protein synthesis in human mitochondria relies on a genetic code that differs from the standard genetic code.

Understanding Genetics - Dna Codes For Proteins
From the perspective of genetics, the DNA molecule has two major attributes. The first is that it is able to replicate—to make an exact copy of itself that can be passed to another cell, thereby conveying its precise genetic characteristics. Figure 2.1 is a diagram that shows how DNA replication produces two completely new and identical daughter strands of DNA. The second critical attribute is that it stores detailed instructions to manufacture specific proteins—molecules that are essential to every aspect of life. DNA is a blueprint or template for making proteins, and much of the behavior and physiology (life processes and functions) of a living organism depends on the repertoire of proteins its DNA molecules know how to manufacture.

OK, Ill humor you. Now tell us WHEN this human decides he's straight, gay or bi and explain in detail how you arrived at this conclusion or just maybe you're just running your mouth like all right wingers love to do?

Homosexuality is very likely no more a "choice" than breathing is. Lets logically see how silly your assumption is. Say a peach hanging on a tree decides a few weeks before ripening, hell no, I don't want to be a peach, I'm going to be an apple instead. Would you believe that too is possible? Basically that's what you're suggesting. It makes no difference how much it rains, how much sun or any other outside factors, a peach tree is going to produce peaches, not apples.

Lets get back to humans. When you enter puberity you undergo changes in your body and you either tend to start to notice the opposite sex or that you are attracted to same sex or maybe even like both. You want to pretend that's totally a choice you make?

Science has already proven that "straight" men shown explicit erotica trigger specific brain responses, while "gay" men respond very differently. Since it is impossbile for anyone to control or even be aware at a conscious level which brain pathways trigger you are choosing to remain ignorant in the face of hard evidence something is going on at the ce...

Even more basic, if being homosexual was a choice, why then do so few (most estimate between 8-12%) choose to be gay, why not 20%,30% even 50%? You don't have any answer do you.

Yeah, the bible belt, where most bigots, racists and haters live. Odd, for those that pretend to be "christian". Even their minsters preach hate. That area of the country should be renamed the Devil belt, far more accurate description.

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

Damn you're an idiot! I just pinned back the ears of another religious wacko on this same topic. You're are nothing but a pretender. You know nothing about religion except what some goof told you.

Ask any bibical scholar today about Sodom and Gomorrah and you'll learn the real reason these towns were destroyed. Do you dare to learn the truth or do you prefer to remain ignorant?

I heard about a pretty convincing theory that it happens in the womb. That would mean it is not genetic, but it still happens pre-natal. I don't believe it's a choice, there are many who are ashamed of their homosexuality because other people keep saying it's wrong.

Yes, I believe so. But in the end, what does it really matter? Unless someone is interested in changing, preventing, or controlling gay sexual activity, there is no reason to care about the hows and whys. Just let people be what they are, and leave them in peace.

No one chooses what sex they are attracted to. You grow up from the earliest age knowing if you like the opposite sex or not. I can remember liking the boy next door from the age of 3. I didn't say "I choose to be heterosexual." Small children don't even know what heterosexuals or homosexuals are. They just know what they are attracted to, because they are born that way. You could no more make me "choose" to be homosexual than you could make a homosexual become straight. If anyone thinks otherwise they are full of it. And how do you explain all the other animal species in the world that exhibit homosexual behavior? Obviously for those certain individual animals in a given species they were born that way. No one talked them into choosing whom they try to mate with.
