Muslims are, Obama ring a bell? Many Atheists want a Utopian society, which denotes necessity of money, power is a relative term regarding what your appointed job is, and religion and polotics are completely seperate for the good of the unified Earth. Most Atheist do not seek destruction of religion either, which cannot be said of the other side of that coin.

Purple Koala! Political ideology and religious affiliation have some congruencies but certainly not exclusively. So, in reality, no. Are teenagers stupid? Are blacks lazy? Are jews cheap? Are christian conservatives racist bastards? Are muslims terrorists? You cannot generalize nor can you accept as truth what people say. Trust but verify is a good way to discover for yourself what is real.

Atheism doesn't dictate political affiliation. I would suspect most atheists lean liberal, but that might be my personal bias showing.

Communism, as described by Marx, would be free from all religion. Most Communist nations are, or were, officially atheist. That doesn't mean that every citizen was atheist. It just means that party officials had to at least make a good effort at pretending that they were atheist.

Communists tend to be atheists, sure. But the vast majority of atheists are not Communists. There are almost no Communists anywhere in the world, anymore.

I can't speak for all of them but I am a Democratic Socialist. I am also educated and have a job, a family and a mortage. We are just like everyone else in this world except we don't believe in God. Perhaps just a little smarter.

An atheist just means a person does not believe a God exist. Now communists are suppose to believe that there is no God but at most communists are just a subgroup of atheists. One is not a commie because they don't believe in God. A commie believes in a certain political system which is unrelated to a belief in God.
