When people assume you're dumb, they hold you back from taking control of your own life because they think you're just going to screw it up. They tell you things to keep you from believing in yourself. They shoot down all your ideas because they assume you don't know what you're talking about. That is why I find myself afraid to speak my mind to older people. It's because I'm "only 20" that they'll probably just shoot me down.reply
