Anyone else sick of your arguments being labeled as "invalid" because of your age?

Honey I'm 20 and people still say that to me. Its stupid. Also just point this out nicely, aren't you rendering everyone who is older's opinion as "invalid" by not includeing their reasoning in this? Just saying.

yeah kinda but it's more of a response question to the like 6 past questions I've seen saying "this poll is for 18 or older" and "until I found out she was 18- come back in 30 years and have a real discussion" it's just annoying.

I personally am sick and tired of being told my arguments have no validity because of my ethnic background or location.

But it's not the same.

I'll give you "kids" some advice: Ignore the arguments against your age, and stick to your guns. Ask questions, it's the best way.

It's a lot of people's go-to response when they run out of arguments.

yes I don't think age always, their age doesn't have anything to do with their opinion or I.Q. It depends on the person, what they know, and what they have been through. and anyway there are still super smart 16 year olds that get in collage and people in their 30's who are illiterate

Generally, when an adult ends an argument mocking the child for their age, they've lost the argument.

I happen to be under 18 years old, and several of my responses have been backed up by people who are MUCH older than I am. One such example is the 'origin of homosexuality' debate.

His whole point is to assume that ALL teenagers who have an opinion are wrong simply because of their age.

There will be some idiots out there who are young, but the same can be said with older crowd.
