And I did see your post I guess that is all I needed to do was to reboot. and I will have a good holiday...we are having a family reunion this year on the 5th there are well over 200 people attending. and most are here now. believe it or not they took up 4 motels....I had 10 kids and they had 23 and just double for husbands and wifes then add the 17 great grand kids with 7 being old enough to have their own and then when I gett over the shock I can prepare for our first Great Great grand child in December...something tells me i should have pulled out sooner. LOL LOL LOL LOL
Sheriff Andy Taylor, although his role in "A Face in the Crowd" is memorable, too. I grew up watching "The Andy Griffith Show", and like it just as much now, as I did as a kid. I'm sad to hear of his death.
I got to meet Andy a few times, when I lived on the Outer Banks.
Walt, you have to remember that Andy was an actor and just because the man is speaking about Healthcare does not mean he supported it. I have heard that vid a thousand time...but in defense of Andy SOMEONE HAS TO PAY THE BILLS and it was a contract ad. Before I believe that he supported Obozocare I want proof positive, proof beyond a shadow of a doubt not some sorry ad that depects him as a supporter.
My favorite role for which I remember Mr. Griffith is, of course his role as the Mayberry Sheriff.
The funniest role for which I remember him is "Will" in the movie "No Time For Sergeants" -- If you have time and are a Griffith fan, check out both of thes clips from that movie...Hilarious IMO.
The strangest role for which I remember Mr. Griffith is his character "Lonesome Rhodes" in a movie called "A Face in the Crowd"...Very different from his comedic roles.
And, finally, the SADDEST, LAST, and MOST DISAPPOINTING role I remember for Mr. Griffith is his pro-Obamacare commercial about the pseudo-benefits and changes to Medicare...How sad....how sad.
That was one of the roses that my mother tested for Jackson & Perkins in 1958 or 59... Mom was a test grower for them and that was her favorite that and the JFK. If you have ever seen a JFK you will see it is a death white...and one of the hardest rose to grow. Pap pap, my grandfather, always said the rose didn't like him because he was a Republican. BTW Linda been since 10 this morning Ohio time has been watching a Andy Griffith memorial marathon.

R.I.P Mr. Griffith!

I loved Matlock too! He was a great actor!
