I appreciate Alton's quirky style, and being something of a chemistry guy myself, I like knowing and understanding the physics behind my food.

While Rachel Ray is adorably cute, ... um, I really don't know how to finish that up. She makes good food, but I keep getting distracted by how cute she is, and I'm likely to lose a fingertip for that.

Definitely Alton, its interesting and i like how he usually shows more then one use for items and types of ingredients. Although some of his antics is a little silly.

I like the "Good Eats" show a little bit better.

As a cook, I like it when I can learn HOW something works--so that I can then try to experiment with it to come up with my own twist.

I like 'em both, but Alton Brown is the man. His show is just as entertaining and fast-paced as it is informative. It's almost as if Martha Stewart and Mr. Wizard had a baby, and then that baby forgot his hyperactivity meds one day.

Alton helps me understand "why" I need to do something by teaching chemistry,etc. It is more helpful to me so that I can use it when making other recipes.

Generally I like her style more, but Alton's recipes are pretty awesome... I just can't stand watching him!

Right now I am using his recipe for Chicken Stock... it's boiling as we speak.
