(Reuters) - A woman accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain on Monday of having a 13-year affair with her that ended just months ago, a new charge that could derail his campaign for the White House.

Cain, already hit by allegations of sexual harassment, denied an affair but he addressed the idea of giving up his presidential bid for the first time.

Until recently a front-runner among Republicans seeking to challenge President Barack Obama, Cain said he would stay in the race as long as his wife stood by him.

The woman, Ginger White, told a local Atlanta television station that the on-and-off affair began in the mid 1990s. She said he flew her to different locations for secret meetings.

"It was pretty simple," White told the Fox Network station in Atlanta. "It wasn't complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship."

Yes this absolutely isn't about Obama being a total failure as president and needing cover. Cover for a crap economy, or unrest in the Middle East, riots in the streets.

No, this particular post isn't about Obama. It is about Herman Cain and whether or not he had an affair, and if he did will it change your opinion.

But it won't change the reality of Obama's presidency. Crap Economy. Middle East Turmoil, Rioting in the streets and massive home foreclosure rates. Home foreclosure

NO, it doesn't. Why would you think I would assume otherwise? You seem to mistake me for a person who would like 4 more years of Obama. At any rate. Romney will get the nomination.

I don't judge anyone(including politicians) on consensual sexual relationships, that's between him and his wife(and his God),his policies aren't to my liking,so he wouldn't get my vote ANYWAY

The instant he paid off the women that stated he sexually harassed them it was like pleading "no contest" to a court.

Guilty. The latest LTR is simply icing on the cake to shut him down.

In the 90's most claims were instantly paid off in order to NOT waste hundreds of thousands more due to a climate of sticking it to men. It was common practice and not in anyway an admission of guilt. it was a cost saving measure and hundreds of thousands of companies did the same thing.

"no contest" is the equilivent of a guilty plea in court and the insurance companies don't care if the client gets tagged as a sex-offender or harrasser for the rest of their lives. The insurance companies just want to save money.

No, it isn't and it certainly was not in the 90's. A woman could get a few thousand and that settled that. It is interesting that all of the women (up until this one) maintained very freindly relations with him and two followed him to other jobs, if a man harassed me in such a way that I sought legal relief, I wouldn't go near him. THAT is what makes their claims more BS.

But all of you can rest safely, Cain is getting ready to shut his campaign down. The liberal, obie loving media wins again.

There seems to be a lot of smoke! Fast and Furious, Money to Solyndra, court records of border patrol agent sealed many other things that seem quite questionable.

Ok, I agree. These things need to be aired.

From what I have been able to see of the F&F thing Someone really screwed up. And that needs to be found out about and fixed.

The money to Solyndra, well I'll tell ya I got hurt in the Solyndra collapse. Lost about $20K. And yes I am not happy that a US company that was making solar panels died before it really had a chance because of competition from China, The problem is that is wasn't competition. They were flat out undersold, Chineses product was dumped on the US market at nearly cost with the blessing of the Chinese government. I am still watching this unravel and I am certainly not going to go away when it comes to settlement of claims.

If you are speaking of a border patrol agent that I think you are, there is a reason it court records were sealed and it is a national security isssue. I live not to far from the border and I speak with the patrols every week.

Correct. But Herman Cain's lawyer says that they have no right to even ASK about his personal life. Shouldn't those same standards have applied to Bill Clinton? Did congress even have a right to ask? According to Herman Cain's lawyer the answer would be no.

Herman is not in office yet. Funny though, no one had a single problem with EVERYONE asking about Sarah Palins personal life, questioning her sons parentage and making accusations of infidelity, but Herman and obie are to be left alone? And where were Al and Jesse in the defense of their "brither" or do they only support their kind of brother?

What? I don't know what a "brither" is. I don't think Herman and Obama are to be left alone. What are you getting at? I had a problem with people harassing Sarah Palin about her childs father. I don't know what you are talking about. Its Herman Cain's lawyer that says its none of anyone business.

No, for as soon as he opened his mouth it was obvious he wasn't presidential material. As for the sexcapades there wouldn't be many politicians left in government if that was the main issue. Power corrupts absolutely there.

It shouldn't change anyone's view. If I were president, anyone who brings up outrageous false claims would be shot on site, man or woman, it doesn't matter. She is probably working for the "other" side, whether true or not.

If it is true, yes it will change my opinion of him. But I do not believe it is true. Cain is no dummy. No one would run for President with something like this in their past, especially their recent past, knowing how much the opposition will dig to find dirt.

So where are they? It's been a few days since she made her claim. If it had been me, I would have had them in hand when I first talked to the press.

Believe me, if it turns out to be true, I will be decrying Cain first and loudest. I can't stand a liar and a cheat.

But I honestly don't think anyone would make a run for President with something like that to hide. Not in this day and age when, except if you are Obama, every little nitpicking detail of your life is put on display.
