Hatred is toxic, and I don't know about anyone else, but personally, I need a break from all the perpetual hate that is the veritable bread and butter of this site.
It's a never-ending cycle:
We all argue with each other incessantly, nothing ever gets resolved, and someone else benefits from it.
One thing that most members here have in common is that we all feel very strongly about our beliefs, whatever they may be, and that's okay... as long we respect that everyone else has just as much of a right to think whatever they want as we do.
All too often, many of us seem to forget that no one can change anyone else's mind. That's a 'do-it-yourself job.'
So here's a reminder to all Sodaheads, no matter what they believe:
Live in the now.
Enjoy today, because tomorrow isn't promised... to any of us.
Come have fun, and leave all the political, moral and judgmental arguments alone for just a little while.
Let your hair down, relax. Get loose.
Have a drink... hell, have a smoke too; its virtual, so no one gets harmed. *lolz
I challenge you all;
Let go of whatever pisses you off the most and have some fun. Post the silliest stuff you can think of.
You game?
And by now, I really shouldn't have to include a disclaimer, but for all the contrary and hardheaded folks out there; this is a Fun & Humor post which is intended to be positive.
If you want to be negative or to discuss the subjects I'm trying to take a break from please go make your own post or feel free to comment on the any of the numerous hate posts that are available.
Anyone trying to 'stir the pot' will be blocked, without hesitation. Period.
It all boils down to the fact that we all see things differently, and we all have our own opinions. Many of us can respect others opinions, even if we don't agree with them. So many want to argue, when I see that there is no resolution, I move on. Life is to short to get stressed out on an opinion format. I agree with you that hatred is toxic, and one word has been known to start wars. So like I said, if I see where we're going round per round, and it takes a turn toward nastiness, I move on, if it's too nasty I block.
Thanks for your rave, I've been off of the format for a while, I am in the process of switching internets. Sometimes I find it necessary to block, because of the ignorant replies.
Nice.
:)
You wish, K.
;-)
Debbie Downer. Ha! Reminds me of Doug and Wendy Whiner.
I've seen good people become immersed in the toxicity...
I ignore WAY more questions than I answer; which is saying something, because I answer lots of questions...
I block, and will continue to do so whenever anyone annoys me.
:)
