Zooey Deschanel’s divorce from rock singer husband Ben Gibbard was finalized by a judge Monday night. She initially filed for divorce a year ago in December 2011, after she and Ben had been separated for about two months.

Zooey was married to the Death Cab for Cutie singer, who has recently released a solo album under his own name, for just over two years, with the ceremony taking place in September 2009. The couple had no children together.

According to the Associated Press the divorce was finalized on Wednesday. The judgement doesn’t reveal any financial details of the split, but it does state that the marriage cannot be repaired by counseling or mediation. Last week, Deschanel’s work on the hit sitcom “New Girl” was rewarded with a Golden Globe nomination. Do you think Zooey Deschanel is better off alone?

No. The supposition is that she's going to be alone. And look......whether is Zoey, Robert Plante or some other Starlet, Rock Star, or artist.......I have to tell ya.....they're all off a few points to starboard if ya get my drift (pun intended). They're not normal little individuals. I've worked with a few on film sets, and it's not hard to differentiate between those who live within the confines of reality (who "regular people"we know in our daily lives) from those who suspend it.
If more people understood the concept, there'd be far less hero worship me thinks.
