Some are okay, but a trend at the moment is that the film industry is remaking too many already good films, like... why do we need another total recall? Damnit, hollywood! Stop remaking and start innovating! >:(
I think it depends, some were good others weren't. And some make good companions to the original. Examples are: The Rob Zombie remakes of Halloween 1&2 were amazing compared to the originals [but leaving out Jamie Lee Curtis was a big help]
The remake of Friday the 13th was a pathetic disgrace
The 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead was a good companion to the 1968 original. I feel these two should be viewed together to get a much better story. Though I love the transformation they made with Barbara in the remake
