nope, no musical talents whatsoever, in fact I'm way too intimidated to even start, i just don't get the whole note thing, my younger brother plays, he has never taken lessons but is freakily (i know that isn't really a word) good at finding the right notes, lately he has been going on the internet and printing out pieces of Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven, he screws around for awhile and actually picks it up pretty fast, i think it's cool and scary, not to mention not fair (i wish i was musically talented) but he doesn't really like playing for an audience, he can play both piano and guitar but greatly prefers the piano, though in truth he only has an electric keyboard, shame because he deserves better in my opinion, I'll just have to make due with my apparent talent for writing, i hope you learn how to play the guitar soon,

yeah i hope to learn.. i'd just like to be able to pick "happy birthday" or something for the kids LOL

that's cool about your brother..i have a cousin similar to him.. he can mimmic what he hears... and thats cool about you too.. everyone has their natural talents.. yours is definitly writing.. you do it very well :)

i think my natural talent is somewhat artistic in nature but not really writing.. more like mechanical, scientific, figuring out how something works and/or how to fix it or build it .. i also like to work with animals.. train them and/or help them overcome their fears while doing so..

these are my "babies" .. hehe.. my passion is more like it.. i just love them!
work animals train andor overcome fears babies hehe passion love

nice horses! i love the colors! I've always liked bays but somehow i ended up with a paint, i still love her she has beautiful coloration, anyway yeah I've always preferred solid colors in just about everything, my cloths, jewelry, room, and before i got a horse, in horses too, but now, a paint is what i have, and a paint is what i love! funny how fate turns out.
i cant really help but wish i had some musical talent, i love the sounds of the piano, cello, violin, and probably most of all the vocals, you wouldn't believe how much i wish i could sing! but i cant, so there goes fate yet again!
i don't really consider writing to be a very special talent, in my opinion anybody can write, and write well, if only they have a mind too, not many people can play, nicely anyway or without instruction, so therefore i consider writing to be inferior to many other talents out there, which of course is just my luck, i mean that to say i have never had a talent that i like, i can ride a motorcycle fairly well, but i don't really like it very much, I'm good with tools, especially electric tools, grinders and the such, but i don't like working in shops, though i did for a while, and so on and so forth, my luck is about as good as a disease!

have you tried asking your cousin to teach you? my brother is teaching my older sister to play various songs and she's picking it up alarmingly fast, even though she is not really musically inclined, she can sing true, but her real talent is poetry, again I'm jealous, but oh well,
perhaps you should try asking for some casual lessons from you cousin.
    just a friendly suggestion.

thanks .. the paint is my pride.. i've worked with him the most.. when we got him he'd just been broke and was already 7 .. he was a pain or so i was told.. kept bucking people off .. then the first owners gave up and actually gave him to the lady i bought him from.. she had him 2 years and worked on the ground most of that time with him, and just had 30 days riding on him when we got him... i guess i like challenges.. lol... but after 2 years with me.. he's great.. all his problems (except for the ears) are gone.. my son is even able to ride him without a any tack .. (i'll post some pics at the end of my reply) ... i've always liked paints, but i've had a variety of horses, i started riding when i was 4 years old.. i'll post a better photo of the paint too, he's tri-colored (bay/black/white) .. the bay is a dun.. and the palomino is dappled.. we were lucky to find such beauty and they have all turned out great :D .. of course i've sent a lot of time training too.. using natural horsemenship .. but i love it :D

well you may not consider it a talent, but i sure do! i wish i had it.. .. funny how we want what we dont have eh? i can write poetry, but i'm not good at stories.. although.. i've learned over the years.. it's best to be thankful for what we do have.. and perhaps tha...

oh, guess i should of mentioned the problems with the horse... he bucked quite a bit while riding, didn't or wouldn't let you touch his feet, no touching the ears, wouldn't stand still while mounting, took off trotting once when i first got him (i fell off LOL)... and he didn't much like a saddle on period... now he lifts his feet with a tap on his ankle, no more bucking, no problem saddling, rides without a bridle or with just a halter (and bit when i choose that too) .. collects nicely.. moves off leg pressure.. stands still while mounting.. and i can touch his ears, but he still pulls his head away (but no more shaking it and pushing into me when i try it LOL) .. i have more work to do on the ears.. it's not been a big consern of mine.. he's ok putting the bridle on, he just dont want you looking into them or playing with them.. he had a bad experience... i blame myself for not stopping someone from doing something (a guy who shoed him when i first got him, which i'd love to punch in the face lol) .. but live n learn.. an i gotta pay for it with time and patience in helping him overcome it now... needless to say, he dont have shoes put on anymore.. he has the natural horse trim done now (based on how mustangs feet are natually)

Interesting that you should mention the barefoot trim because that's what we do! on all four horses, one of them used to be a major problem with her feet, I suspect she was traumatized when in training, we got her green, and had to hire a trainer to teach her the basics, unfortunately the woman we hired was not a very nice one, also it may have something to do with the person we have for our horses feet, she only does the barefoot trim, but she has this thing, where if the horse doesn't do EXACTLY as she wants it to, she starts to get frustrated, and the situation just kept escalating out of control, it got so bad that we couldn't even catch her, let alone finish her feet, the fronts weren't so bad, it was the hinds that were a problem, this is what it would look like.

woman bends over to pick up left hind foot,
    horse won't let her,
woman starts tapping on horses leg and hoof
    horse deftly moves away
woman stands and pants then returns and repeats
finely woman manages to pull up foot
horse holds for a moment then starts to put weight on said foot,
woman gets frustrated and taps on horses thigh as a reminder
    horses kicks out to escape
woman has no choice but to let go
horse then moves as far away from woman as possible
woman yanks lead rope from my hands and runs horse around in tight...

woman gets frustrated and taps on horses thigh as a reminder
    horses kicks out to escape
woman has no choice but to let go
horse then moves as far away from woman as possible
woman yanks lead rope from my hands and runs horse around in tight circles until horse begins to pant, then returns horse to my hands and tries again to lift foot,
    horse offers other foot,
woman brushes some dirt off the offered foot but then returns her attention to original foot,
horse finely lifts foot and woman goes to work
horse loses patience and starts putting weight on foot again,
woman smacks horse with back of hand
    horse dances away
and so on and so forth

I finely worked up enough courage to confront her about her treatment of our horses and she did not take it well, but she no longer treats them that way and now defers to me, i left the horse alone for awhile and then started to work with her irregularly just to keep her feet clean, for a long time i could only pick up the foot she offered and i had to move fast, but i never pushed her in any way, i picked up what she offered me and put it down when she asked for it back, i moved slow and steady, (took me almost thirty minutes once) but now if i continue to move slow and stroke her a lot where i wish to work, i never get farther down then the knees before she lift her foot for me and holds it there, i can now clean all four feet without any problems, she's better even then any of the others.
I used to ride bareback a lot but now I rarely do, scared the holly bejeezers out of me a few times,
anyway I'm not much of a horsewoman, they still give me plenty of problems, particularly mine, i guess they know that I'm a pushover, nothing i can do about that, but i manege okay, not one of the horses has ever let me down when i really need them, not even miss complicated foot, i don't ride her often but frankly she astounds me sometimes, all of our horses are astounding come to think of it, with absolutely no previous experience on the trails, they nevertheless take on things that would give my old instructor a heart attack, if i ever stopped and thought about it, it would probably give me a heart attack, I'm talking some scary stuff, stuff the pros would probably stop and think twice about.
but, to move on, it is a shame that we always want what we cant have, I'm pretty tired of it in fact, my brother has agreed to teach me a song that i love and in return I'll get to teach him my favorite style of dance, what a steal eh? so I'm pretty excited right now,
in my opinion writing is inferior to music, music is coming directly from the heart and soul whereas writing is pretty much coming from the brain, there isn't nearly as much feeling in writing as in music, nowhere near the effect, and there are twice as many people out there who can write, then those who can play or write music, probably more actually, I don't feel anything when I write,
as for singing, don't even go there with me, if it shows anything about how dreadful my singing is, i actually sound better when I sing in a corset! yup.
we the human race, are (for lack of a better word) doomed, whether that is a good doom or a bad one, we are still doomed, clever aren't I? now no matter what happens i just predicted it, hee, hee, hee, oh well, things are what they are, right?

that's a cool trade ya got going with your brother!

sounds like you've had quite the experience with the hoof trimmers as i have.. although the first one we no longer had again, after things he did that caused my horse so much troubles.. never again.. i like the way we have worked things out now.. i get someone to do the hard stuff an i do the easy stuff haha.. i like the easy stuff :D

i love bareback, road that way most of my life, but i cant swing up anymore LOL .. sooo when we go out it's saddle time :D

oh, and things are what we make them ;)

    have a beautiful day :D

thanks, you have a lovely day (or night, depending on when you get this) yeah fantastic deal with my brother, and it's going so great, i just learned the first part and it's incredibly addictive, I'm totally loving it, though my right hand is really sore, anyway someday I'll have to learn to trim our horses feet myself because it is just getting way to expensive, in fact i should probably start really soon, huh not exactly a nice thought, but oh well.
As you've no doubt noticed I'm not much of an optimist, i guess on some dim level i like being negative and stuff, don't ask, that is a really complicated subject, i work everyday to increase my patience and control my negativity, I'm getting better but it's slow work, especially when you're working against yourself, i call them.
    self A
    and
    self B
of course there are many more selves to me, but these are the basic two, i call them (for lack of better words) the sadistic and the masochistic, of course neither one is purely one or the other, but it's like the whole yin and yang thing, anyway i have writing to do so I'll be gone!
    good wishes to you!
