'X Factor' Vs. 'The Voice': Which Show Do You Like More?

Simon Cowell is not pleased with the schedule of "The Voice" Season 3 premiere, and he's making sure his voice is heard. The three-day premiere of "The Voice" will air at the same time as Cowell's "X Factor" Season 2 premiere, and Cowell claims that Fox and NBC had a "gentleman's agreement" not to air the two shows at the same time.

In a statement to TMZ, Simon calls the decision "a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business." Now that the shows have seemingly been pitted against each other, which one would you choose? Do you prefer "The Voice" or "X Factor"?

MUSIC.YAHOO.COM reports:
NBC just announced that next week's "The Voice" Season 3 premiere will be extended to three nights, Monday through Wednesday, conveniently--or not so conveniently, if you're an "X Factor" fan--overlapping with next Wednesday's big "X Factor" Season 2 premiere.

The voice is much better. The people trying out are heard before seen, which eliminates visual discrimination by the judges. Also, only contestants with decent voices are apparently filtered for vocal talent before getting on the show. The interaction between the judges are great.

Simons a Jerk (and apparently a whinny baby)... the judges aren't really judges "per ce" on the voice, plus, on the voice, the judges turn the opposite way until the contestants are done singing, so there's no chance of judging based on looks. You do the math. lol They're called competition shows for a reason (and not just for the contestants lol), Simon, deal with it.

I like the selection process for the voice. Although, I dont watch past the selection process. X factor must be on Fox because I've never seen it. I've only seen Simon a few times and don't think he's as bad as people say, but I don't watch Fox unless it is to catch an occasional football game. I do not support Fox's political agenda, therefore, I never visit the channel except for the rare football game.

Did I mention that I hate FOX?

I will only watch the Voice up to the point when they choose all the contestants because after that they DO start factoring looks into the equation instead of the most talented. Just like AI. X-Factor just have never been a factor. Not a lot of true talent.

the voice wins BY FAR this is an actual singing show, its not about the popularity of the judges, its about the competing singers, and the singers can actually SING!!!! :O btw, the australian version is better by far, its more bout the singers than the US version... no offense to any americans out there...

X factor, with Paula and Nicole, was tolerable, though not really enjoyable. too much about 'them' and not about the contestants. The Voice is full of life, vitality, energy, awesome great talent in the judges and a real sense of caring and family. Four fantastic, individually and together, judges. The X-factor newbies (ladies?) are hardly what one could call star-power. (Britney! Are you serious? Really disturbing person.) I think Simon has lost it with this.....

Can't stand either of them, but that wasn't an option.

I picked "The Voice" because I detest Simon Cowell. The whiney britwimp should know by now that TV is a competitive business. They position themselves to improve their viewership numbers and take viewers away from the competition.

Actually both are just tryouts filmed for the profit of producers, costing less than paying professionals to do the work. Anything that Simon Cowell isn't in should also be the better of the two. What an ass!!!!.

I needed to answer something in order to place a comment. I do not watch these shows as well as the so-called "reality" shows. All these shows are a deversion for the things that are really important that very few are paying any attention to. And this is exactly what the "Powers That Be" want, to take attention away from what is going on behind the scenes that is going to make slaves out of all of us, worldwide, which is one reason why the economy is going to soon collapse, for which there will be no recovery. Therefore in order to survive, nearly everyone is going to give in to the New World Odor.

I'll never give in to the New World Odor!! Oh sht, what's that smell?? Don't mind me, I'm just another rose bush ;)

Hi Cynthia, I hope you can live up to that statement, because many are going to starve or freeze to death if they do not give in. It sounds awlful and is, but those that do not take the "Mark of the Beast" will enter the Kingdom of YHWH, but those that do take the "Mark" will never enter the Kingdom.

I agree & have no fear, I'm with Jesus! I was just lightening it up with a joke on the word 'odor' as opposed to 'order'. I love The X Factor USA, tho!! It's a great show!! Heaven is filled with singing ;) so be happy & don't take any mark in your forehead or right hand that enables you to buy or sell. You'll be doomed.

I don't care for Simon Cowell arrogant attitude so I never watch any show he is a participant. The Voice on the other hand is pretty good except for Christina Aguilar who is to self absorbed to be effective.

It seems like the Voice is actually more caring towards their artists. Plus the coaches perform and they're all such great artists.
