Pretty soon, probably within 50 years or so, we'll have vacation tours in space, maybe even trips to the International Space Station.
But if you hope to hang out in space while occasionally checking on your FarmVille empire, think again.
Nope, according to Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, the Internet connection on board is way too slow to play online games.
You'd think that the International Space Station, of all places, would have lightening-fast Internet, right? They're as close to satellites as possible. But the problem isn't really Internet speed -- it's the orbital velocity of the ISS itself, estimated at five miles per second.
So be sure and bring a book.

DEVO was right about everything.
How often do you get to go into space and peer out into the universe?
However once we start getting further out the speed of light lag is going to start kicking in, and short of inventing subspace radio there is nothing that can be done about that.
No, I'll likely gaze out into space, seeing the visible marvels and imagining that which I cannot see. If alone, I'd certainly spend quite a bit of time in a chair by a window reading.
I mean, I can see playing video games now and then. Mostly if with other people, but otherwise I'd be happier with a book and a good view.

lol... sorry, I'm sure it is. Just the way my mind thinks...
well... you could be right. I know Dr. Who really seems to think the Tardis is pretty awesome...
