Would You Change Your Name for Artistic Reasons?

I have always hated my name so when my daughter was born i gave her 2 first names so when she is older her friends can call her Sky , which is much cooler than my name. Her first name is Courtney which is such a pretty name also but at the moment she just calls herself Ginge .

Name is simple enough.

I don't like my name to start with, so I would gladly use an excuse to change it! Once my last daughter marries, I will legally change my last name, and possibly my first as well. My other daughters are already married and took their husbands' names. I was married and when I divorced kept his name in order to have the same last name as my kids. So even my twin boys are legally changing their last names - they despise their father that much. So, after keeping the damn name to make life easier for my kids, it turns out I will be the only fool with the last name at the end. Harumphhh

Sure, especially my last name. A name can (not necessarily does) help your career. Like a lot of kids i hated my first name (and even my nickname). After I grew up I liked my nickname. And, in the past 2 years or so I've come to like my given name. But, all my parents are dead now, so I wouldn't offend them. It could be fun to make a change.
