Earlier this month we asked you what the best setting is for a music festival, and "Near the Coast" won with 41% of the vote. Concert goers seem to prefer ocean views and a cool breeze to the sweltering heat of the desert.
Promoter giant Goldenvoice must have seen our poll and taken note, because today they surprised the public with the announcement that Coachella will be sailing the high seas and bringing a cruise full of hipster deck hands with them. The S.S. Coachella will be setting sail twice in December and going to both Jamaica and the Bahamas (two separate trips). Check out the lineup and let us know if you like the idea of attending a music festival on a cruise.

coachella music sucks
Thanks, but for recreation of a similar quality, I think I'd rather schedule myself for exploratory abdominal surgery.
Party gear in high seas = not a nice experience.
part about something like this is it would most likely weed out the kids
and trouble makers. A Jazz fest or Blues festival on the ocean would
be epic. No worries on accommodations, food, drinks, or activities.
It's a win win for everyone. One stop shopping.
I like Burning Man for that very reason - everybody brings their own stuff and takes it all with them when they leave.
