We've been so distracted by Donald Trump's chatter about birth certificates that we failed to recognize one of the best things he has going for him...

His wife.

Melania Trump, 40, worked as a professional model in the 1990s, frequently gracing the covers of fashion magazines like Vogue, In Style, Elle and even the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

If Trump is elected president, we could seriously have the hottest first lady of all time on our hands.

I say "no" because it's a ridiculous question. Is that what we want in a first lady? Hot? How stupid. Being physically attractive is a plus but it is not a priority in making a good first lady. Eleanor Roosevelt was powerful, as was Hillary Clinton, and Jackie Kennedy and Nancy Reagan, and many others. Their looks were not the top priority. Laura Bush was pretty but she wasn't much as far as first ladies go. Besides, why debate now whether Melania Trump would make the hottest first lady? Donald could have a different wife by election time.

I totally disagree. Mrs. Kennedy was not elegant at all. She hated being in the White House and hated Kennedy and his indiscretions even more. She was not beautiful or even elegant. I thought she was kind of homely myself. I think she stayed only for the Kennedy name and money!
