A while back, it was pretty much set in stone that Lindsay Lohan would be playing Kim Gotti in an upcoming film about the Gotti family, but that's been put on the backburner as the studio tries to work out some kinks. She also got booted from a Linda Lovelace film. But now Lohan has another potential offer, this time to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie.
According to Deadline, Lohan is in talks with Lifetime for a starring role in "Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story," about the infamous love life of Taylor and Richard Burton. Lohan has often been compared to Taylor, as in a 2004 Slate article that read, "Both had domineering stage mothers, little semblance of a real childhood, fame from a young age, substance abuse issues, public emotional outpourings, and copious amounts of tabloid drama."
The publication added, "The key difference, though, is that Elizabeth Taylor had a true record of achievement before she became the most notorious movie star in America." Ouch. In any case, do you think Lindsay Lohan would portray a good Elizabeth Taylor?

Could she show up daily for work and be sober?
Requires someone with way more class and charm, and beauty
Elizabeth was a wonderful, talented, classy, gracious and naturally beautiful woman. Lindsey Lohan does not even reach Elizabeth's toes in beauty and talent. It would be an insult to Elizabeth to be played by a person who has been through drugs, alcohol, robbery, sex (remember, Liz claimed that she had never slept with anyone she wasn't married to) and acting stupid just so she could get some attention.
Elizabeth Taylor was a gorgeous femme fatale will never be replaced.
Come one people, this is the woman who battled HIV, and won, co-founding the American Foundations for AIDS Reseach. She's won amongst other things, the Presidential Civlians Medal, the second highest achievement in the USA, ""who [has] performed exemplary deeds or services for his or her country or fellow citizens". The Legion of Honour, the highest decoration in France.
Where's the comparision with Lilo???
Taylor had class when she performed, and it showed. If you put LiLo as that role, it will just gush with ignorance and filth.
Lohan is a wasted woman, and giving her the role will be an insult to that great actress.
I know LTM wants to portray the loved story between Burton and Taylor, without a great acting the movie will be nothing.
she is a good actress....25 awards and a plethora of nominations should account for something.
