We know what you're thinking: Justin Timberlake as Elton John? How in the world would a 90s-pop-star-turned-actor be able to portray a legendary songwriter and musician such as Elton John? Well, ask Elton that. Because according to the Los Angeles Times, Elton has hand-picked Justin Timberlake to play him in an upcoming biopic.
“I've got a wish list of people,” Elton told the LA Times. “No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of ‘Rocket Man’ and was superb.” As for the film itself, Elton says it's going to a be a little different than your typical biopic. “It's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life,” he said. “I just don’t want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn’t been like that."
We're definitely looking forward to Elton's biopic -- but we're not sure of his personally picked selection. What do you have to say about it? Would Justin TImberlake make a good Elton John?
