We'll admit it: James Franco is not the first person who comes to mind when we think of an actor who should play Hugh Hefner. But according to Variety magazine, the 33-year-old actor-slash-NYU student is in serious talks to portray the Playboy founder in the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic, titled "Lovelace," with Amanda Seyfried.
The movie will follow the real-life story of a porn star named Linda Boreman (aka Linda Lovelace) who becomes famous when she stars in the first porn film with a plot, "Deep Throat." Franco's role in the film is likely to be more of a cameo than a full-fledged character, as it's rumored that he'll only need to be on set for the film for one day when he shoots a scene where Lovelace visits the Playboy mansion with her husband.
Brief cameo or not, we still can't picture Franco in this role. But we'll let you guys make the final call. Do you think James Franco would make a good Hugh Hefner?

I got this!!!
This was true even many years ago when he was younger.
Yet Hugh Hefner has slept with more women than any 1000 random men have in their entire lifetimes.
No need to ask why.
He's rich, he's famous, and/or he could put them in his magazine.
Is this an indictment of women? ..or at least thousands and thousands (maybe millions) of attractive women who would sleep with anyone to exploit their looks to get rich and famous the easy way?
It makes me lose respect for women to think about it.
It makes me a little nauseous.
