Would Britney Spears Make a Good 'X Factor' Judge?

"The X Factor" has been tossing around a lot of names following the abrupt ousting of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Whitney Houston is obviously out of the question, and Janet Jackson had to back out because she had prior commitments. The latest name attached to the position is Britney Spears, and it sounds like she's interested, but there's a big gap between their offer and her request. According to E! News, she wants $16 million. "X Factor" only offered $10 million.
A couple of weeks ago, creator and judge Simon Cowell said in a conference, "I'm fascinated by Britney. The fact that she's one of the most talked about — not just pop stars but people — in the world today, means that you've got this star power. This girl has resilience. I would think that if she's managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, this would be a walk in the park. I would be fascinated to hear what she has to say. She's still hot, she's still having hit records and she's still controversial. There's a reason for that." Do you think Britney Spears would be a good addition to "X Factor"?

+17I don't think people should be able to judge someone on their talents unless they are talented in that area too, and considering Brittany spears is a horrible singer and sounds like a baby when she sings then she definantly does not deserve the right to judge others on their singing skills
Everybody knows she is a dead horse at this point, with her voice overs, slut like outfits and hair plugs come one she was cured of her deep seeded mentil issues in a matter of weeks,,yah right she is all better now, sure she is,,,, NOT!! : )

And I don't know why some of you hate her so much. She is NOT talentless. She has a good voice. You may not like what she does, but that doesn't make her talentless. She IS a great pop artist,one of the best to ever come along. I don't understand you hating asswipes. Jealously perhaps? She seems to have worked through her personal issues, which are really none of our business anyway. For all the crap I hear about how lousy she is and autotuning, it just doesn't add up. SOMEONE is buying her records...Duhh.
leans more towards technically good singers. Haven't watched Voice much. Here, it's all about manufacturing the next big thing. Whether you like what Brittney does or not, you can't deny that she's been the next big thing or that she has great star power. Not sayin you or I can explain it, just that it's a fact. You have to consider the view to which they are judging. If it were me there probably wouldn't be half as many on the show by the time they got to Hollywood. And like I said, somebody buys her records or she wouldn't even be considered for the job. Here's a question. How long had it been since Paula did anything of note before Idol? I'm just sayin...
Boohoo she might not get the $16 million she wants, if she doesn't take their offer that's HER loss.
