At 1p.m. PT Tuesday afternoon, Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am will be serenading martians from the Curiosity rover as part of an educational special he's calling "Reach for the Stars." The special will include the premiere of a new song by Will.i.am. If you're interested you can tune in Tuesday to NASA TV and stream the event. We'll have to see how it goes, but what do you think of the concept of a song premiering on Mars? Is it wonderful... or a bit wacky?

Truly whacky! But I'd bet that Madonna will do her best to do the same to Uranus!

In my opinion, it's wonderful! Whether or not there are any sentient Martians available on Mars to enjoy the music at this time, it demonstrates the awesome power of human faith and ingenuity and the world-changing influence of music! You go, Will-I-Am and NASA!

But there is a reason why they won't like it. Have you noticed they don't like technology? If NASA hasn't actually found life forms on Mars, it's probably because technology isn't necessarily part of their likings, so music will just scare them even more.

On the other hand they may love the music! However, I have to admit that Will-I-am gets to be the first musician to have his music played on Mars. I was hoping that honor would go to the opera company I sing with. Oh, well! :)

Dumb as hell....but hey...its his "Hometown". I'm sure they're used to garbled up make no sense garbage anyway. He's probably an experiment the Martians planted here anyway to see how many unintelligent humans would actually listen to him.
Results....SUCCESS! HUMANS WITH ZERO TASTE APPROVE!

Next test they're sending down a president....and he's here now....

However, if they really want to find out if there is life on Mars, they should start broadcasting rap music! Anybody alive on Mars will start running away to avoid the sound!

Gimmicky. Try writing a good song and you wouldn't have to release it on mars for someone to care.
